Ebola virus disease is a deadly disease with occasional outbreaks that occur primarily on the African continent.
Current reports has it that,a new case of the Ebola virus has been recorded.The case was registered in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in the east near the city of Butembo, and the infected person died, the Ministry of Health .
One fact about the Ebola virus is that it keeps appearing after a few years of being discarded from existence.
This case is the 12th Ebola outbreak in the Congo since the virus was discovered near the Ebola River in 1976, more than twice that of any other country.
Finding solutions to the new case of Ebola Virus Recorded in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a statement was released.
“The provincial response team is already working hard. It will be supported by the national response team that will visit Butembo shortly, ”the statement reads.
The virus appears three months after the Congo had announced the end of its 11th outbreak hundreds of miles away in the west, which infected 130 people and killed 55.
COVID-19 has infected 23,600 people and killed 681 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Ebola virus is going to make the efforts to eradicate COVID-19 very difficult.
