Don’t leave everything to God because he won’t help you if you are lazy – Sister Derby

Ghanaian female songstress Deborah Vanessa known as Sister Derby has opened up on why she stopped going to church revealing that God won’t help anyone if they are lazy.

Sister Derby, in an interview revealed that she depended on the church but failed her WASSCE chemistry and elective mathematics papers.

According to her, she wasted time in church praying to God to help her pass her examination, forgetting that she won’t pass if she doesn’t learn.

She said,

“I believe the church is created by man to control people because I depended on the church but failed my chemistry and elective mathematics papers during the West Africa Senior School Certificate (WASSCE).

“I wasted so much time in the chapel praying to God to help me pass my examination, forgetting that if I don’t learn, I won’t pass. Don’t leave everything to God because he won’t help you if you are lazy”.

“I could not finish my work even though I spent much time in the chapel so I feel I don’t need it, I don’t find it fun and it puts me off. I know my statement will sound serious to people who are very Christians but I am more christ-like than these so-called Christians”.

“I know the right thing, I don’t drop my waste until I get a bin, I try my best to help people even if I don’t have the means, how many Christians will do that? she quizzed rhetorically in a report by 3News.
