On Friday night, 25th June 2021 happened to be the first night of the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), which took place at the Grand Arena of Accra International Conference Center on Friday.

Some performances at the event included Yaa Yaa, Okyeame Kwame, Epixode, Kofi Kinaata, Fameye, Larruso, Cina Soul, DopeNation, Sista Afia and others. The occasion was hosted by Giovani Caleb and AJ Sarpong.
At the first night, 13 awards were presented, including Group of the Year and African Artiste of the Year.
The second categories of the awards has been scheduled on Saturday, June 26, 2021, which will be followed by the grand finale.

Sound Engineer Of The Year – Richie Mensah.
Unsung Artiste Of The Year – Nanka.
Lifetime Achievement Award – Bob Pinodo.
Producer Of The Year – Richie Mensah.
Best Music Video – Mzvee (Baddest Boss).
Group Of The Year – Keche.
