In the interview with People, The crime Boss’ daughter revealed that she fought with Lifetime executives to keep the death of her firstborn, out of the movie. Gotti’s daughter, Justine Gotti Agnello, was born stillborn nine months after her wedding to now ex-husband Carmine Agnello.

“I didn’t want [that scene] in there,” she tells the magazine. “That was very painful to me. And it’s not about having to explain it or not wanting to explain it — I just felt like it’s mine, not yours. You didn’t know her.”

In her original script, Justine’s motherVictoria Gotti left that moment out. Yet while filming “somebody caught it.” Gotti added that they “do it tastefully”, but it was “something I really wanted left out.”

Justine Gotti Agnello is not the only child of her parents, she has three other siblings, they are  John Gotti Agnello, Frank Gotti Agnello, and Carmine Gotti Agnello.

In 1979, according to John Alite’s 2007 court testimony, Justine’s grandfather, Gambino boss John Gotti retaliated against Justine’s father, Agnello for assaulting Victoria Gotti. Several Gambino associates ambushed Agnello, beat him with a baseball bat, and then shot him in the buttocks.

In 1984, Agnello married Victoria despite her parents’ disapproval. The family lived in a mansion in Westbury, New York, that was the location in 2004 for the reality television series, Growing up Gotti.

Justine Gotti Agnello’s father, Agnello was charged with racketeering and arson on January 20, 2000. Undercover agents from the New York Police Department (NYPD) had set up a bogus scrap metal shop in Willets Point, Queens. Agnello then employed firebombings and other unlawful techniques to get them to sell their junk to him for less than market value.

Agnello allegedly promised a cooperating witness $2000 to “purchase glass bottles (and) load them up (with gasoline) and pour them all around a competitor’s truck.” According to defense filings, Agnello was taking medicine for bipolar disorder, which caused him to make poor decisions.

Agnello accepted a plea bargain in exchange for a reduced sentence on August 16, 2001. Agnello was sentenced to nine years in federal prison on October 26, 2001, and forced to forfeit $10 million in assets to the court. On January 16, 2008, he was released from federal custody.

While Agnello was in prison, Justine Gotti Agnello’s mother, Victoria Gotti divorced him on the grounds of constructive abandonment in 2003. In May 2009, foreclosure was approved on the $3.2 million mansions that Gotti was awarded as part of her divorce from Carmine Agnello.
