Bobby Truth Womack is best known as the son of the late Bobby Womack (March 4, 1944 – June 27, 2014) and Regina Womack. Bobby’s exact date of birth is unknown. His father was a singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer from Cleveland, Ohio, U.S. He has a brother Truth Womack, and a sister Gina Womack. In addition to his biological siblings, he has three half-siblings from his father’s side.
Bobby Truth’s half-brother Vincent Dwayne Womack was born from his father’s marriage to Barbara Campbell. His two half-brothers Cory Womack and Jordan Womack are the children of his father from his relationship with Jody Laba. There isn’t much information about Bobby Truth’s childhood however, his father did his best to provide a ‘much better life’ for Bobby Truth and his siblings.

What Happened To Bobby Truth Womack?
At about age 11 or 12 years old, Bobby Truth Womack was sent to a youth detention center after he got himself involved with gangs. He has lost his brother Truth Womack who died when he was just 4 months old on 2 June 1978, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, USA. He had reportedly been in a coma for a week before he died. The cause of his death was not disclosed.
However, Truth Womack had been found “wedged between the wall and the bed.” His father Bobby Womack blamed himself for Truth’s death and even delved deeper into his drug addiction. Bobby Womack said in an interview: “I lost a son which was my fault and the only reason I can talk about it now is because I know what I’m saying. I’m not hiding behind anything.”
Bobby shared that he found Truth when he “had fallen down between the bed and the wall and he suffocated and that was the biggest hurt ever in my life.” After his son’s death, his “passion for music never died” but he “was just trying to figure out how you get it back.” Bobby Truth Womack also lost his half-brother Vincent Dwayne Womack who committed suicide in his 20s. He committed suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Bobby Truth Womack’s father Bobby Womack died on June 27, 2014, at the age of 70, in Tarzana, California, United States. The cause of his death was undisclosed but he suffered from a series of health problems including diabetes, pneumonia, colon cancer, and the early signs of Alzheimer’s disease. He had revealed that he had early signs of Alzheimer’s disease. He told CNN after his diagnosis:

“With the support of many good doctors, my family, and all of my wonderful fans, I will continue to write and perform and bring the good music to the people for as long as I can.” Bobby Womack was cremated, and his ashes were inurned at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California, in The Great Mausoleum, Memorial Terrace, Memorial Terrace Columbarium.
