Who is the oldest woman in Ghana?, How old is she? She is 198 years old and still strong. She goes by the name Amodzie and lives in the Wassa East district of the Western Region’s Subri. Amodzie comes from the hamlet of Adu in the Nzema region. She claims to be 198 years old, which she confirmed on Onua Tv’s morning show Onua Maakye with Captain Smart.
She used to tell them stories of Ghana’s first president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, from his childhood till his death, according to her son and grandson who brought him from Subri to the show.
She proved what her son and grandson said about her by telling a genuine tale about herself and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s mother. She said that when she was younger, she was a local doctor and that she was the one who provided traditional remedies to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s mother, Nyaniba, while he was still in his mother’s womb. She claimed she had been married for two years when she met Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s mother, who took care of her until she was five months pregnant.
Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was born in 1909, and this woman was the one who administered herbal remedies to Nkrumah’s mother Nyaniba till she was in her fifth month of pregnancy before she departed. Nyaniba had grey hair even at the time since she didn’t give birth early.
Amodzie claims to have seven children, the oldest of whom is over 80 years old. She claimed to be much older than Nkrumah’s mother. She is a farmer and continues to cultivate at her advanced age. If this woman is indeed 198 years old, she should be the world’s oldest woman.
She dances on live TV on Onua Tv to prove how strong she is at her age. She says her secret for this was that she really respects a lot and did a lot of good to people. She advises the youth of this time to respect the elderly no matter what, she has been doing this from infancy and it helped her a lot in her growth.

Being the oldest woman in Ghana at this moment is s great achievement for Amodzie. what could be the secret behind her old age? is it her diet or is that just her genetics? Growing up to 163 years and still very strong like this is a blessing. If the age this woman is giving is her actual age, then she is not only the oldest woman in Ghana but also the oldest woman in the world also. Then she should be the actual World record holder.
